About the Author

I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was raised in the Midwest.  At 16, my family moved to California but I never really left behind my experiences growing up.  Since I was a little girl, I've surrounded myself with animals. My first pet was a white outdoor cat, I named Snowball.  In that rural setting, I had opportunies to roam the woods behind our house.  I fell in love with nature and vowed to treat it with love and respect.

I have always felt a certain kinship with animals.  I eventually found that through writing, I could explore and describe what it might be like to live in their skin.  Educationally and through work, I learned about the human and animal experience.  For 16 years, I was a Mental Health Counselor.  For another 16 years, I worked with Veterinarians and learned the business of grooming and sheltering practice.  During my remaining years, I put my skills to work in helping the poor.  In my spare time, I write about what I love most, animals.

Please join me in my quest to uncover the lives of the wild, domestic, and mysterious creatures of our animal kingdom.  Let's explore the world of our pets and animals that live on this earth with us.  Thank you for visiting this site and reading my books.
